It is the service center or property office that you should contact if something in your home stops working or breaks. The easiest way to report the problem is via our app. Also check out the good advice on what you can do yourself.
If something breaks in your home, for example if your tap is dripping, the toilet is running, or the radiator needs to be bled, you must report it to the Haderslev service center or property office. The easiest and quickest way to do this is to use our free app Min boligservice, which you can install on your smartphone.
You can also contact us in person at the service center or at the property office, call us or use our contact form.
Before you contact us
Depending on the damage to your home, you can check a number of things before contacting your service center or real estate office, such as:
- Has the power gone out?
Check whether it could be because a fuse has blown or the main switch has been tripped. - Do you have no heat and/or water?
Check whether your utility company has misreported the problem, e.g. on its website. - Is the drain blocked?
Try pouring drain cleaner down the drain and letting it sit for a few hours. If you don't have drain cleaner, you can pour a few liters of boiling water down the drain followed by 1 dl of dishwashing liquid and let it sit overnight.
If you are standing ankle-deep in water when you shower, try cleaning the drain yourself before contacting the service center.
Payment for repair
You do not have to pay for common repairs, such as a running toilet or a clogged radiator or drain.
In the event of actual damage or default, you must pay for it yourself.
It is therefore important that you have taken out contents insurance. The housing department's insurance only covers damage to the property and not damage to your home.
